Rides

Weekly Rides

Our usual weekly group ride meets each Sunday afternoon at 1:00 pm at Recreation Park at the corner of Elm and Congress (map) and rides for about an hour or two, depending on who is riding and where they vote to go. If there are multiple route suggestions and enough people, we've been known to split up into two groups.

Some things to know:
  • It's a "self-supported" ride, which means that, though others might happen to have water, phone, pump, spare tube, etc., there's no guarantee (bring your own to be sure).
  • We believe that the safest, most visible place for a cyclist is on the road, not on the sidewalk. We might go through a park on a path, but we usually ride on the road.
  • While helmets aren't required by law in Michigan for adults, we strongly encourage helmet use.
  • Minors are required to wear a helmet when cycling on public roads.

  • First Saturday Rides

1st Saturday of the Month through October.
9 a.m. - Ypsilanti Farmers Market, Rice Street in Depot Town.

One-hour (more or less) bicycle ride with Bike Ypsi. Casual pace, new riders encouraged, mostly bike paths, but some streets. Free, of course. Helmets required. Questions? 734-330-0550
